Discover this beautiful historical town in Southern Transdanubia with us, surrounded with lakes, caves and mountains.

We start our journey in the town of Pecs where a Mediterranean climate with numerous festivals help to define the city. The open-air restaurants, cafés and nearby wine regions give an unforgettable experience. We will see the picturesque Zsolnay quarter, the historic town centre with restaurants and one of the Unesco sights, the beautifully decorated tombs. 

After the town of Pecs we will stop at the famous Villany wine region or alternatively upon request we will take you the castle of Siklos nearby. Long and hot summers with abundant sunshine, followed by a mild winter enables wine makers to produce the best wine here. According to archeological finds winemaking traditions in the region can be traced back to Roman times. Portugieser is a key player in Villány along with the ‘Bordeaux varieties’ like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Zweigelt, Kadarka and Pinot Noir wines are also planted here.

On this trip you will have the best wine experience, you will have special visits to the cellars and be treated to private wine tastings with the winemakers themselves. You’ll taste and learn about superb, rare and undiscovered wines as well as about wine making. You’ll enjoy gourmet and regional food, deliciously matched to the wines. If you wish you can see the region by horse drawn carriages or off road. If you prefer to stay for a night or two we can arrange accommodation in one of the best wellness guest houses in the village.
