It is one of the most beautiful towns in Hungary, not far from Budapest. It has a charming downtown, also a unique archeological and arts collections and interesting monuments.

As soon as we get to the walking street we can see the Ruins Garden, here stood the main church of the country for 500 years, where 37 kings and 39 queens were crowned and 15 monarchs were buried. The Holy Crown and the State Archives were kept and national assemblies had their sessions here. King Stephen, the founder of the Christian Kingdom canonized in 1038, left behind the holy relics now guarded in the town.

The Varoshaz square with the Bishops Palace, the St. Stephan Cathedral and the romantic Bory castle which lays a bit farther from the inner town gives unforgettable experience.

Colourful events and festivals awaits the visitor during the whole year. For example the Royal Wedding in July, the Royal Days International Folkdance Festival in August and the christmas fare in December/January just to name some of the most important events.

Also it has a beautiful thermal bath called Arpad bath since 1905 built in in Art Nouveau style with shell-shaped ornaments and cupola, it is a protected monument and it has an easy access from the down town area.
