Enjoy this unique festival in the picturesque town of North of Lake Balaton.
The Garda festival is the biggest autumn festival around the lake. The special kind of fish, the garda has its place even in the coat of arm of Tihany, because it was very important for the people to have a good catch. That is why the local people had to be talented in fishing. In November begins the swarming time of the garda. Today the Garda Festival revives the tradition of fishing. You will be able to enjoy folc-dance, cultural programs, fishing and cooking- competition.
