Kassai Lajos, The Valley of Archery in Kaposmero, Southern Transdanubia
Kassai Lajos – master bowman and the founder of modern horseback archery won all the competitions until now and managed to set up five Guinness world records. He is the only man in the world, who was able to do horseback archery on changed horses without a stop for 24 hours.
Not only has he founded a school of archery, but also recreated the ancient traditions and culture of his people.
Even the famous actor Matt Damon got intensive training from the master to learn martial art in preparation for his role in the big budget Hollywood film The Great Wall.
The Valley is open every first Saturday of the month from 11 am when the demonstration can be seen. For this occasion we organise tours to and from Budapest.
All other programs or visits are only upon preliminary check in.
